'The Martian' Interview: NASA's Carolyn J. Kanelakos, Robonaut Program Manager

Though Mark Watney used his technical and engineering skills to his advantage in surviving the desolation of Mars in "The Martian," he could have used a buddy to help him in his endeavors. Defined as “a dexterous humanoid robot built and designed at NASA Johnson Space Center in Houston”, the Robonauts and their development program are currently under the guidance of engineer Carolyn J. Kanelakos, and I got to talk to her about the program, its future, and how she got involved with NASA.
