OK, my brother gave me this 45 back in the day. I always sang along, " Oats in a man . . ." Silly boy!🤣

Used to think this was 'Oats in a man'... as a child. I love the Seekers-just wonderful and their music had such a huge influence.

When I was a toddler (circa 1971), I my uncle handed down his old Dansette record player to me, along with a stack of 7" singles, mostly 60s pop - Beach Boys, Cliff Richard, The Seekers. This was amongst them and got plenty of play at all four speeds. (I would pretend 16 rpm playback was the sound of a giant. Fee Fie etc.). Thus I learned to read from looking at record labels, since the song title printed on the label was repeated in most songs, and this is no exception. Also "Look and Read - Cloudburst" was on the telly at the time, which helped.
I still love the 'mysterious' chromatic vocal during the fade out at the end of this track.

Bruce´s voice is at its best in this recording but Judith can make the black-white scene shine as only a true star can do. A woman that makes everything around shine with her presence on stage.
