My grandmother put eggshells and coffee grounds in a gallon jar, covered them with water and after a a couple of weeks use the water for her indoor plants. They loved it.

saw a video on using egg shells for fertilizer. Best way to grind them without all the sticky residue is to boil them (doubles as sterilizing) and letting them dry, then grind. Bonus points, you can ALSO use the boiled egg water as fertilizer, just cool it down and water your plants with it.

The eggshells are safer and easier to grind if you bake them first. Baking in an oven will break down the organic parts.

I've made this mixture before.
It's great!
And, we have coffee every day and plenty of egg shells after a week.

The finer you grind the shells, the faster it works...about 4-6 months for fine powder. Too much coffee can inhibit earthworms and also takes months to break down, but when they do, they can improve soil structure and plant vitality. They worked great on hanging fuschias.

I’ve heard that you shouldn’t use coffee grounds with tomato plants. But ik you can put it in a compost and brake down the caffeine still in the grounds
