Even yeonjun said this in a live. When he saw people asking him to do smoke challenge, he was hesitant. He said he felt the meaning of TikTok challenges changed, rather than just having fun, it became sort of a competition, a battle. He said it would be fun to dance to it but he can already imagine what the comments would be like, talking about who did this better. Especially since kai also did the challenge.
To be honest, i know exactly what kind of comments he's talking about. Even tho i do wanna see his smoke challenge, i do think it's the wise choice not to do it.

People need to realize that dance is an art form, and it's clear that the guy from Oneus loves what he does - I like how expressive he is, like he felt the music and dance. The amount of energy he used isn't different to the others tbh

They SHOULD feel sorry. Hwanwoong is one of the best dancers in the 4th generation and just wanted to have fun with this challenge. He did so by adapting the choreography to reflect who he is as a performer.

If the faves of any of these stans had decided to do the same (in which I mean just having fun and enjoying the challenge), they sure wouldn’t be taking this level of buIIying passively.

I swear, this is why we can’t have anything nice in KPop. No idol interactions, no fun encore performances, no live streams, etc. Stans ruin everything and I’m getting so tired of it. When will enough be enough?
