The purpose is for Christ to live in us. And to become one with him and become more like him and to get sanctified more. The truth can was never meant to offend anyone it was never meant to condemn the truth can't steal it can't kill nor it can destroy you it can't accuse you truth has something to do with love, Love is patient,  love is kind. It does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud. It does not dishonor others, it is not self-seeking, it is not easily angered, it keeps no record of wrongs. Love does not delight in evil but rejoices with the truth. It always protects, always trusts, always hopes, always perseveres
Love cover multitudes of errors. The truth only has one purpose to set you free it's to reveal you the way out of a situation that way out and that truth and that life is Jesus Christ himself. It's the gift God gave you and I brethren. He doesn't want to embarrass you in front of others for he's not like man he's God himself. God knows me even when I don't know myself when you're on the brink of insanity God is there to snap you out of yourself and that's what the purpose of God fighting your battles means God was always for you not against you. The enemy is the one who wants to turn you and expose you into another person who you weren't designed to be. He was the light bearer and the accuser amongst the brethren he's the one who wants to tempt you constantly and he accomplishes his goals on you he will then want to expose who you are. Jesus however wants to restore you of the damage that you've done to yourself and the captivity for he came to set the captives free.
