I have a Poulan Pro PP333 after replacing dry rotted fuel lines, did not start at all, , after watching this video realized lines going to bulb, I had been put back on incorrectly, swapped them where they are connected to bulb corectly and now runs great, watched many you tube videos on this weed eater but none of them provided details needed, thankyou

I have this Poulan Pro PP338PT, that I bought about 10 years ago. It was the first power equipment that I bought from Amazon. It ran crappy from the very get go, and I regretted buying it from Amazon. It would have been returned if purchased locally. It almost seemed to rich. It appeared to spit the fuel raw out the exhaust. By that I mean that the exhaust was literally greasy/oily, evident by the exhaust exit, and the plastic surrounding the exhaust. It would start OK, but would surge, and really didn't want to idle right. It would rev strong, and I would throttle my way through the jobs. I mainly used it for the edger attachment, to edge the driveway. I've used it very little. The weeder eventually replaced it to keep the driveway edges tidy, and the chainsaw and a ladder replaced it to do pruning. I have not used it in about 2 to 3 years.

With my recent education and practice working on these small 2-stroke machines, I thought I would buy a replacement carb, and see what results a new carb would do. The fuel lines were totally brittle, cracking, and failing. I replaced the carb, and replaced the fuel lines. When I went to start it, it would not start. I replace the spark plug, and it would still not start. I tried choked, un-choked, throttle on and off, and nothing. I sprayed so carb cleaner directly into the intake and nothing. I feel 100% confident that the fuel lines are in the correct configuration. And I replace the fuel with fresh fuel.

The only thing that catches my attention is that the fuel line bubbles from the carb to the external primer bulb. It's never a clean stream of fuel. There is always air. But it's a clean stream of fuel from the tank to the carb. I don't know if that means anything.

Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.
