What is Postcolonialism:
Since I claim to be a postcolonialism scholar, I think it is apt to include a brief description of my field of study. In my view, Postcolonialism ( also written as Post Colonialism or Post-Colonialism) is a dynamic field of literary study that focuses on the history of colonialism and native responses to the colonial policies and life after colonialism formally ends. The field of postcolonialism also offers insights into the literature and culture of the the former European colonies and their struggles after the end of colonialism.

I started my MA thanks to you and I am continuing it thanks to you. We learn close to nothing in our courses and we learned close to nothing during the BA too.

All I need now is to learn how to write research papers and articles then everything will be set for a while.

Dr. Masood Raja, thank you!
My parents used to tell me that "knowledge is power". I grew up thinking that the more I knew about complex ideas the more powerful I could be.
Thank you for educating me professor.
Your clarifications are clearly stated.

Great video.

It doesn't involve power, but I would love if you made a video on The Order of Things. Much of it I find very challenging. Such as the distinction between resemblance and similitude and how they manifest in different epistemes.

Can't wait .... Thank you Dr. ... I'd also want to know how Edward Said made use of Foucault's idea of power & knowledge in his notion of identity?

Sir If everything is discursively produced then the given statement itself is discursively produced which projects further beliefs in human mind and compelled us to see everything as a discourse.

Thanks, professor Masood! Foucault was always difficult for me to understand but you changed all that. In regards, to power not being top down but rather running through different streams or sections. Do you think that to dismantle systems of oppression the goal is to work within those streams as pose to working to dismantle it from the top? In other words, starting from the bottom and working way up to the top? I hope this makes sense . This is an important topic for me in my Social Justice work where people like to talk about dismantling the system from the top.
