One of the things that sold the dystopian world of Cyberpunk 2077 for me was the media console in V's Apartment that constantly served ads. I remarked how utterly terrible it would be to have something like that in your house. We are rapidly approaching that future.

I would like to know how much power its consuming aswell. If it is running ads 24/7 if you watch it or not, i bet its going to consume alot making your utility bill high.

From my understanding, the terms said you can't use the privacy filter and it's not $500 but $1000. It will watch and listen to you at all times

Definitely a "no" from me. I would pay more of a premium for peace of mind knowing I am not being watched and tracked at all times when using the device. Also, I do prefer random ads. I don't need to be advertised to constantly and pressured to spend money always. If I want a product, I will seek it out on my own and do research on it. I am aware I am definitely a minority in this regard though

I feel like it wouldn’t be as concerning if it was based purely on tv watching. The fact that it has a camera, microphone (I’m assuming, I don’t know if it was mentioned), and HAS to be connected to your wifi at all time seems very suspect. Big companies get hacked, I don’t know if I’d trust this relatively new idea. And the fact they can stop it at any time or when it’s not being used there’s ads playing. Your own home becomes like a billboard you see on the highway.

I just got this TV delivered yesterday & its great. The 2nd screen doesn't really show alot of ads. Occasionly it will show a ad full screen on the 2nd screen buts its only for like 2-3 sec. It has a camera but its hidden and when you launch something that requires the camera it pops open. I have a video on my channel. The TV itself is running a custom version of android called tellyOS

What happens if I'm watching a movie in the dark for immersion? Does the lower screen turn off? Dim? Ruin the immersion?
