I have a friend that went to Nam but never lied about the fact that he never saw combat. I'm sure he doesn't know how much I respect him for that.

My cousin joined the Air Force when he was a young adult. He was f’ing up and was just going down the wrong path- he was a crazy mo fo lol when he joined and we got his pic in his uniform we were so happy!! One night we were partying- he got wasted of course, the security at the club was trying to kick him out, etc- we went to his defense and explained he just joined the Air Force, etc, etc- I honestly thought everyone respects our military as my family and I do- well, this big a** security did not! Turns out they start chatting it up about the military, etc- My cousin told him his story, and told this big guy he was a cook 👩🏼‍🍳 the security laughed at him and it pissed me the F off!!!! And my cousin was not ashamed of this he just kept it real 🤷🏻‍♀️ turns out this big a** security told everyone he was military, special ops, sniper, CIA missions, etc, etc- well, he was exposed for STOLEN VALOR He was a fraud!!! Legit military guys heard about this douche bag and questioned him, looked into him and exposed him!!!! He finally admitted he lied, quit his job as a security in a popular night club, and split!! Just made me laugh considering my cousin was honest and didn’t give a crap telling the truth that he was a cook 🤷🏻‍♀️ this guy clowned him with no respect but yet HE was the People are f’ing pathetic and disgusting!! My cousin ended up getting into trouble and was kicked out/discharged for several reasons🤦🏻‍♀️ one was making a porno 🤦🏻‍♀️ my cousin made bad decisions and was a hard head!!! Lol 😂 but he never lied about anything or was ashamed that he was a cook!

I’ve always thought the term POG was stupid I didn’t look down on anyone for their job choice or branch we were all going through it together but putting cool and infantry in the same sentence like that is crazy
