DIY Drone Synth - LMNC Simplest Oscillator X6

preview_player
Показать описание
Drone synth based on the reverse avalanche oscillator circuit from Look Mum No Computer. 6 oscillators (3 fixed range, 3 with octave switches), into a low-pass filter and volume control.

The octave switches just switch between two capacitors. Smaller cap=higher pitch.

The mute switches cut power to each of the oscillators. I used SPDT on-off-(on) switches so they could be latched in one direction, and momentary in the other.

If I were to do it again I'd definitely use more of the stripboard and reduce the amount of wiring spaghetti.

Love this. I recently went back building one of these, inspired by yours and others build.
I cracked it this time. They sound much better than the square wave hex inverter things. Dont get me wrong I have one of those as well. But you know, you cant have too many homemade drones.

did you do anything to add the switches besides just putting them in the powerline? i tried doing something similar and got some huge popping/clicking when i activated my switch
