As a Chinese who has tons of experience of acupuncture and gua sha, I have to say that DO NOT do it by yourself if you have no or little knowledge of jing luo（meridian). The pressure on the tool, the directions of gliding, and the points that you are pressing, are very important. Wrong pressure leads to no effect or bleeding (like broken capillaries) or bruises. Wrong directions leads to clogged capillaries or meridian. And it can cause serious medical issues. There are many crucial points on our face and body. Pressing them wrong repeatedly can leads to fatal problems. So, please, do NOT do it yourself at home. For your own sake! If you have a teacher who’s master of it, learn it well first.

That is why you have experts who have been doing gua sha for years making vedios on youtube go check them out people...even the depuffer is a tool you can use it improperly n bruise your face...a stone is not a man made tool eatch type of stone consists of properties that are unique to it which interact with our energy please go do your research....I have utmost respect for dermatologysts, doctors, n their knowledge and their hard work...but it dosn't mean they know every freakin thing in the world...sad that somebody's stupidity can be turned into such a nice business by someone....

I only use gua sha instructions from a Chinese acupuncturist, you can find them online, then you know what and how to do!
