I just bought 2- 1991 gold eagles 25 1/2 oz only 24k minted, lol like the day they left the mint. Graded at MS69. My Best Buy in gold eagles yet. Beautiful

Even though in the US, I prefer Maples. 🍁🍁🍁
The alloy on AGEs makes them look fake to me, and the American Buffalo not nearly as good looking as those delicious Maples !

So the eagle contains a full ounce of gold but at 22karat? And the maple is a full ounce of gold but at 24karat. So the maple is better cause it’s 24karat right? If someone could explain/clarify so i don’t have the wrong knowledge 😅.

The gold Maple leaf is 24k the gold Eagles are 22k.

I prefer the Eagles over the Buffaloes, simply because of the sound they make when verifying authenticity with a pocket pinger. They sing for a long time. That combined with a simple weight measurement makes for a very easy way to confirm that you are not getting a counterfeit.

Which one does the coin dealer prefer? My LCS told me to stick to American Bullion. I still stack Brittiana those are the best in my opinion

Doesn’t matter if it’s 24 karat or not, it’s still worth it’s weight in Gold. The gold eagle wool scarf less. But the gold buffalo is superior. And this order it’s, Buffalo, Eagle then the Maple leaf.

So im curious on h9w the 2 weigh out and also fit between the lines on your gold checker machine thingy. Weight off, size off??
