Barty does not get enough credit for her game. People have become so used to ball bashing that they cannot appreciate the variety Barty has. Her slice is deadly and she uses it perfectly to move the ball around and set up for the forehand. Same as the great Steffi Graf used to do. Though I think Barty can be abit too defensive at times, I think she prefers point construction more than all out attack. Its going to be a good match up between her and Sabalenka in the next round.

Ash played smart Victoria wants pace and Ash didn't give her it. The slice backhand is such a good shot by Ash. I also got to point out Ash serve is superior to Victoria despite only being five foot five. Ash has one of the best serves in women tennis.

I was rooting for Azarenka but in actuality I like both players. Barty played a good solid game and she really deserve to win. Never liked Azarenka all these years because of that high-pitched howling screech she used to do every time she hit the ball. But for some reason this year she’s developed a lower pitched more of a grunt which is much more palatable to listen to 😂🤣

Not that her game needs any new publicity, but Barty really has one of the best service techniques and it's also highly efficient. Combine that with the deadly slice, her court acumen and you see why she wins so many good matches. It's very rare to come across players who maximize their potential to such an extent.

One of the great matches I have watched. Ash and Vika were great players and both GS Champions. Ash's shots were diverse and impeccable while Vika's approach was strong. Love seeing them play against one another. Good luck for both of them. And, love Vika's shoes. #tennisfan

Congrats to both! Physically Ash is in her prime! She’s going to win this one against Vika. Good try from Vika. Shots are still there but she’s not her 2012 self which is understandable. It’s the new younger generations’ time.
