As a Nikon shooter I thoroughly enjoyed and appreciated this kick in the butt you gave Nikon.

Seven years ago I would have laughed hysterically if you had told me that Jared Polin was now using Sony...

Never sleep on the Big 3. Their supremacy is always generational because it takes time to put out a great product. As a Canon fanboy, it was difficult while Sony reigned the mirrorless market. That’s until the R6 and R5 came out. Good things come to those who wait.

"many of you still get the results that you are looking for from Nikon mirrorless"; I'm still getting good results from my D750 that I bought brand new for under £1000.

As a Canon shooter, it would be extremely bad for me if Nikon doesn't get back on their feet.

Those typewriter shots added an epic storyline, great video Jared and Steven.

Dear Nikon, Why don't your cameras have a "masterpiece"button?
This will be a terrible dream of the channel's author.

The truth, delivered in love, can only make things better. It is clear you love Nikon. Your consistent delivery of the truth is appreciated.

I have to say, your older Nikon shots seen throughout the video show some true inspiration, your excitement as a young photographer shining through in a way I don't always get with your newer stuff. Perhaps some of this has to do with a change in focus on your career path and goals within the photography realm (i.e. demonstrating technical aspects and quality of the equipment, although some of your more recent work I've seen was outside of the informative/educational area); but I can't help but wonder if the emotional attachment to that Nikon equipment back in the day still had something to do with it. Some of us view tools of the trade as simply tools, but others get inspired by the tools that connect with them. The quality on those images holds up so well, along with the artistic content making me want to explore some of your earlier work. I say this with all due respect as a casual observer, and I fully understand and appreciate your perspective and experience as expressed in this video. As a Z6 owner and Nikon shooter, in general, I think it's all pretty spot on. If I were in a professional situation where snappy autofocus on par with the best of what's out there today was critical, I doubt I'd still be shooting this Z6. I hope Nikon releases something in the near future that wows you (partially selfish, because it would mean we all benefit as Nikon lovers), but until then, you have to do what makes the most sense for your professional style, situations, and career.

Dear Jared Polin,

We need a Sniff Test and Wind Tunnel Test compilation.

Great video- hopefully they listen. I started with Nikon as well, an 8008s back in the film days. Loved their cameras. Side note, I had no idea you had shot so many big time entertainers. Well done sir!

Its interesting how we rely so much on tech these days to capture the images we want whereas back in the day it was up to the photographer and their skill-set and knowledge from years of shooting.
Does the *tech* allow more people to make money from photography these days or is it talent?
Just a thought.

As a Z 6II owner, I agree. If you're a sports or events photographer, you simply can't trust the Eye AF. But if you're shooting portraits, landscapes, products, and general use you are ok. I do wish Nikon gets another firmware update this year that finally gets the Eye AF on par with Sony and Canon. If they do it will be huge, and maybe they can finally get out of this bad PR they have created for themselves.

If Nikon releases a full frame version of the Z-fc without an OLPF, I will sell my A7R3 sooo fast. Take my money Nikon.

You nailed it; I wrote my dear Nikon letter about 6 months ago for all the same reasons.

I do shoot weddings on Nikon cameras and the fact that I can get it to work is why I have such an issue with your Nikon videos. It's not impossible as you make it seem, even if it isn't as easy as it may be on other systems.

I sold my D850 and holding on to my z6ii hoping for a new camera from Nikon that prevents me from jumping ship. Only reason I haven't done it so far is the color science and dynamic range.
