Hartford police investigating 36th homicide of 2022

Hartford police say they are investigating a homicide on Wednesday night.

Police responded to the area of Main St and Capen St around 8:30 p.m., and found the victim there. The victim, a male in his 40s was unresponsive and suffered multiple gunshot wounds. The man was pronounced dead on the scene.

Police said the incident happened near one of the city's cameras and that the victim was approached by a male and female and the male pulled out a gun and shot the victim. Then they walked away from the scene.
