A long time ago in 5th grade, there was this kid named Xander. He was that one kid that everybody hates. Our teacher could barely get 2 sentences finished without hearing his voice. He was a football player, super popular, and liked to bully people for the stupidest reasons. He bullied the ADHD kids for their fidget spinners. He bullied some of the girls for the slime they were always making. And him and his fellow jocks bullied my friends and I for being so obsessed with dinosaurs. One thing we liked to do during recess was pretend that we were dinosaurs and fight. I'll admit, we were weird kids, and we knew it. But that didn't make it hurt any less when Xander and his goons would mock us with the most scornful imitations of us roaring like dinosaurs. For the year, that was really all they did, but soon they cranked it up a notch...

Like I said, me friends and I weren't the only ones he bullied. He also missed with the kickball players a lot, saying that they're pussies and they should play football instead if they wanted to be cool like him. They didn't listen.

One day, we got lucky and got to eat lunch outside. On outside lunch days, lunch and recess were combined. Once we were done eating, we were free to go play. My friends and I picked a spot right up on the wall of the building. Now the building had a significantly higher elevation than the playground, so my friends and I could see everything while we ate and talked about dinosaurs, or superheroes, or star wars, or whatever the subject was for that day.

3 things happened that day all in that one lunch/recess period. It felt like it lasted hours with all the commotion. These 3 main events happened in order of insanity.

First was a little outrageous. Xander and his goons gathered up around a total of 20 people to make a "train" on the largest slide on the playground, which was only about 12 feet off the ground. A few kids got stuck at the bottom, and some of our recess monitors had to get involved. Nothing too outrageous though. My buddies and I just watched it all unfold from a safe distance.

Next was pretty crazy. What started with 10 people crowding a slide turned into about 25 people in a huge huddle- with Xander as their ringleader. Things got pretty suspicious. One of them went up to my group and asked if they wanted to join them in the "stampede." We obviously denied. They didn't seem serious... but they were. We watched as the huddle broke and everyone crowded in a line behind Xander, and when he gave the word, they all charged. They actually stampeded right through the kickball field and trampled every last one of the players, ruining the game.

One thing about that was pretty hurtful. My crush, Isabelle, was part of that stampede. She didn't topple anyone over, but it hurt to see her follow Xander, especially because one of his goons, sawyer, obviously had the hots for Isabelle, too.

Anyway, after watching that unfold, my friends and I finished out lunch and headed to a big open field under a huge tree to pretend that we were dinosaurs and fight. We did that every day. It was super fun, because, you know, we were nerdy 5th grade boys. It's what we do.

This is where things got a bit hazy. Before, we had the high ground, so we were hyper-aware of everything that was happening. Not anymore. Unbeknownst to us, Xander had enlarged his group to upwards of 40 kids, who, without any warning, did the same thing they did to the kickball field, and stampeded me and my 5 friends, Joel, James, Logan, Ava, and Emily. Just us six kids! Up against 40 people charging at us with no warning! It's obvious that things got physical. We were kind of playing chicken with them, but everyone's a chicken, so most of us didn't get hit. Except for Logan. One stampeder, Cole, was charging especially fast towards Logan, who, being sort of an impulsive hothead, (in a good way), turned with ninja-like precision and grabbed Cole in a headlock to slam him to the ground. Cole was sort of skinny and pretty tall, so this was impressive. But once Cole let's out a huge "OW!" everyone froze and looked at them. Logan lets go of Cole and they both get up, and then the recess monitors decide to intervene. Logan and Cole, who both seem okay, are confronted. This is where us kids get involved. We split ourselves up and indulge into argument, team Logan vs team Cole. Some of us argued that Logan was acting defensively, and if he hadn't acted Cole would've collided with him and hurt them both. Others were saying that Logan behaved too violently and Cole was assaulted.

Right then, the whistle blew, and arguing all the way, we all lined up to go back Inside for class. Cole and Logan were taken to the principals office with Ava as a witness, and the whole issue was resolved, nobody was blamed, and the principal saw it as just one big misunderstanding. What I found hilarious though, was that once Logan and Cole came back to class, Xander was immediately called to the principals office. We didn't see him for another two days.

When we went on a school sleepover the guys kept looking at the girl change

At my 13th birthday these two girls that I thought I was really close with were super shut of, texting the whole time and I’m tik tok (it was a screen free party) me and some other close friends constantly asked them to put their phones away and they would roll their eyes but they did put it away for a bit. Eventually I was opening presents and they were talking in hushed tones and not paying attention. I had a rule that I would only open the present when everyone was listening and quiet. It took nearly an hour to open the presents (there were 9 so it shouldn’t have taken mor than 30 minutes). That morning one of the girls got added in Snapchat by someone she didn’t know. The boy that added her said that he was 17 and sent a photo of himself (just his face with a black and white filter) I admit he was good looking but not my type and again, 17. The two girls started fussing over Hume saying that he was so cute and wanted to send a group photo. No one else was comfortable with that and decided not to . Later while eating breakfast the boy snaps her again asking to “sext” they girls started shouting and fan girl-ing over this boy and one of them came up to tell me. I shut them down and said that that wasn’t cool and they needed to stop. This all happened in-front of my mum which mortified me. Eventually they went outside to where we had slept in my “granny flat” (or rumpus room if you guys know what they are) I walked out but stopped short when I heard them talking about me. I didn’t confront them but it made me really upset, especially when they both left their gift bags (that I had personalised and even made some custom stuff for them and it took hours) they had eaten the lollies but left the other stuff. One of my closest friends stayed a little longer as they weren’t able to get picked up on time was talking to me about it and agreed that what happened was really disrespectful. Anyways that’s what happened, it still makes me sad but I was definitely not allowed Snapchat for a few years after that

So I went to 17 and my sister was 18 and she invited her friend over and I felt bad making them sweep on the floor because she I did a bunch of her friends asleep on the couch with them can sleep in my bed and some of them can sleep on the floor And some of them my sister had a dream about sex and I pushed actually on top of me I’m telling you my pants were not up too hard and it woke me up. When I looked up. I realized it was my sister.
