Former Trump Voter TURNS AGAINST Trump, FLEES MAGA

This is me. I was one of these conservatives, but was lucky to not fall into the Trump craziness. I left the Republican party in 2013 after the constant craziness with Obama and blaming him for everything

Extending my voting power by voting as a Republican in the Primaries, to vote against Trump and all of MAGA. The General election will see me vote Democrat down the entire ballot.

My Mother in law, whom I loved very much, was a Trump supporter. In 2020 on her death bed she insisted we take her to vote in person “because we couldn’t trust mail in ballots”. I tried to tell her Trump used the mail in ballots he’s been attacking for years.
I’ll never forget her face on 1-6-21. She was absolutely horrified at what Trump had done, and that is how she saw it. Like many we watched it unfold in real time on television. Switching between channels to try to get different perspectives. She looked at me and said “I made a horrible mistake do you think God will forgive me?”
This absolutely broke my heart. God absolutely forgave her but I’ll never forgive Trump for making her feel this way only weeks before she left this world.
Vote blue America. Don’t let this monster destroy even more lives.

Trump's presidency was eye opening for me as well. Before then I truly believed that most conservatives really believed in things like traditional Christian values. So if nothing else Trump deserves credit for ripping the mask off Republicans

As I expected, Ally was a GOP voter because that's how her parents voted. I'm glad my parents never tried to influence me in politics and instead let me discover it myself. Leaving a cult is no easy feat. Respect to Ally for being able to break free, and I hope more people can follow in her footsteps before voting begins next year

Despite what the cultural reactionaries tell you, more people leave the GOP than the other way around, and Trump is definitely responsible for most of that. Sane conservatives can still be reached, just treat them kindly.

After visiting family and friends this past Christmas week I can happily say that most have changed their minds about trump and are supporting other candidates. Thank you all for coming to your senses.
