Bloodhounds Netflix : Why She Disappeared From The Show | 4K 60 FPS

Netflix series Bloodhound star, Kim Sae Ron, has been absent from the show after a serious off-screen mishap. In May 2022, she crashed into a power transformer under the influence, causing a widespread blackout in Gangnam. Her actions were frowned upon by Director Kim Joo-hwan, who decided to cut her parts from the series to maintain its integrity. While some netizens sympathised with her, many were critical of her behaviour.

Further controversy ensued as Sae Ron, post-incident, allegedly hosted a wild party and seemed to lead a luxurious lifestyle, despite claims of financial hardship during her trial. Adding fuel to the fire, she was exposed for falsifying a stint as a barista, which was debunked by the coffee shop brand's representative. Her claims of financial struggle seemed questionable as she was represented by a top Korean law firm and was also spotted playing poker in Gangnam.

Public opinion about Sae Ron has been divided, with Korean netizens displaying less sympathy than international fans. Despite the backlash, Sae Ron’s attitude remains unapologetic. Her sudden disappearance from Bloodhound and the drama surrounding her personal life have left fans wondering if she will get a second act on the show.

They were a perfect team until the Kim Sae Ron drunk driving incident happened, and they had to remove her in episodes 7 and 8, which gave a bad position to the actors, director, writer, and staff. That's why I wonder why she suddenly disappeared. I'm so disappointed.

Always thought it strange that her character never reappeared for the remaining episodes, now I know why. It's funny because I saw this mentioned in another youtube video about why some actors are replaced due to bad behavior or bullying and her story was one of them, I never twigged that she was the same actress in Bloodhounds. Still a great show though, loved the fight scenes.

I was actually pleasantly surprised when she disappeared from the show and they moved on in the way they did. I had no idea there were problems beyond the show; it felt perfectly natural the way they handled it that her character would leave. I didn't like her character, so that helped I guess. I really liked the addition of Da Min later and that there wasn't a love interest at all, which I was afraid of at the start.

No. That level of arrogance and lack of remorse can't be rewarded. Have her actually work in a coffee shop for an entire year since she wants to fake it for sympathy.

I had heard that this is what happened, but this is the first video I'm seeing that's detailed about it. Thanks for sharing! All in all, I get why it had to happen. Luckily, at least her leaving was in character for her. Some stories don't always have a happy ending, and sometimes you're too broken to keep going.

Now I know why the ending of BloodHounds seemed cut short. I liked This actress and I hope she gets help.

I binged this show in one sitting, and I kept wondering when her character would come back from Rome. But then the season ended and realized Jung Da-Euns role seemed too similar to Kim Sae Ron's. It just didn't fit a normal script so this makes a lot more sense.

That power transformer could have been a pedestrian, or another car full of people whom she could have killed. Drunk-driving makes that person a potential murderer. There are never extenuating circumstances for drunk driving.

I thought the second half felt a bit off….what a shame. 😢

Glad you posted this for Bloodhounds fans. Coz the first half of the movie was great until she was written off. I googled right away after finished watching this kseries coz i found it odd ending and discovered what she did. Knowing how entertainment in Skorea react with scandal, i understand completely 😅

Sad to hear of Kim Sae Ron, miss her the last parts of Bloodhounds. Hope she really learns and is remorseful, and get help if needed. So young to get all the hate, doesn't really help her get better.

If Lee Jung jae with multiple DUIs, assault/battery of multiple people- even sending one women to the hospital ends up one of Korea's most beloved and successful actors then Kim Sae Ron can also be redeemed. She can get the help she needs, receive the punishment for driving under the influence, even take a hiatus of self-reflection/improvement and learn to never repeat this mistake. Why can't she return without being black-listed?

Her character made this whole mess in the first place, then just peaces out for the MCs to fight her battles LMAO. At least now I know why.

I was wondering why they made her character overly emotional to just abandon the team

To everyone saying the show was trash after she left, just looking for attention 😂 show was still great, she was cool but didnt make or break the Archer girl put in more work than her tbh, not saying i didnt like her, just that the show was still great regardless of her disappearing.

I finished Bloodhounds three days ago, and no kdrama has left me quite as conflicted as this one... Episodes 1-5 were SO GOOD, I binged them in one day and spent the rest of that night talking about how superb the drama was, from the character development to plot pacing. Then I watched episodes 6-8 the next day and the tremendous ABYSS between expectation and reality left me dumbfounded. So much so that I spent a whole sleepless night pondering what went wrong??

Episodes 1-5: 10/10

Fantastic acting from the entire cast; first watched WDH in Save Me and was impressed by his character portrayal and nuanced expressions.

Plot and character development: tight, consistent, fast-paced. I can't think of another drama in recent memory that managed to set the backdrop so well in the very first episode; we have our protagonists, we've got the conflict, and we know our villain (and we hate him already).

Action sequences: LOVE. In an interview with netflix, WDH and LSY talk about how they learned boxing for the drama, and it shows!! The camerawork is also stunning.

More on the villain: I loathed Myeong-gil, 100%, completely, whole-heartedly. The hypocrisy, the cruelty, the cold violence in his eyes... I wanted to watch him fall, and I love it when shows make me feel so much.

Episodes 6-8: 3/10

My feelings say to give 0 stars because the tonal whiplash was so great starting at around episode 6.5 and the last two episodes were basically a different series (I mean, it pretty much had a different supporting cast...)

3 stars only because they did not kill off Woo-jin and our bromance continued to blossom :')

Scenes dragged (drinking scene with Min-Beom), plot felt careless (scanning QR code to access the building??), and there were new characters with zero development (Da-min).

On a writing level, I just would not have killed off so many main characters in one episode. After episode 6, I was left emotionally numb. I couldn't even begin to grieve any of the deaths, they had all happened so quickly. It felt like there was nothing left to root for, nothing left to fight for. Then the time jump happened, and it felt like the viewer was supposed to adjust and enjoy the light-hearted moments, but I COULD NOT.

After that very sleepless night, I root-caused the whole downhill trajectory of episodes 6-8 to one illogical moment. Had it not been for that moment, the rest of the plot would have (could have?) stayed on par with the rest of the show. Rather than telling his wife to call the police when Myeong-gil’s men were at the door, Du-yeong should have called Mr. Choi because 1) his buddies are really the only ones who can save him, and 2) his buddies are IN DANGER now that Myeong-gil is onto them. (His decision to contact the police is quite inconsistent with how the characters have been operating. WE ALREADY KNOW THE POLICE IS UNRELIABLE. HE KNOWS THAT. I don't know how many times it was mentioned that Myeong-gil has connections with the police…) That small difference would have changed everything. Neither Yang-jung nor Mr. Choi would have needed to die such senseless, brutal deaths if they had been warned. Duyeong and his wife would still be painful losses that leave the viewers angry and sad, but there would still be hope that the team can regroup.

(Oh, and I know the real-life incident that occurred for them to cut Hyeon-su out of the last two episodes, but the current set-up feels like a lose-lose situation. If they weren't going to replace her entirely, it feels like a pointless exercise to "minimize" her appearance and to ruin the rest of the storyline.)

Also, wouldn’t it have been poetic justice for Myeong-gil to “fall off” (really, be thrown off) the top floor of the hotel, or his precious casino-to-be? It would have given me way more satisfaction as an ending… And if asked about Myeon-gil’s death, everyone would just say, “oh, he jumped off himself from the stress of losing billions in a tax audit.” :)

Anyways, this is what I like to imagine happened, and our happy fight crew is vacationing in Rome together :') What is something that would have made the show better for you?
