Yusef Lateef on tenor! What an amazing player and composer, my guitar teacher studied composition with him in the 90s at UMass Amherst! Gentle giant, wish you'd have transcribed his solo on this but I suppose now I've got to give it a shot, didn't know he recorded with Grant Green! I highly recommend his album Prayer to the East, it has my favorite recording of A Night in Tunisia by far.

I love your channel and the incredible music you've introduced me to. Do you think you'll ever transcribe any Gabor Szabo? He's currently my favorite jazz guitarist alongside Lenny Breau.

Is it just me or does Grant wander rhythmically a bit between the 7th and 8th measures of the 4th verse on his first solo, or does the band miss a beat? Either way it makes for a very odd ending to the solo; as if it has two endings. Still feels good though, even if a little stiff sounding. The positive thing, it shows how to did yourself out of a hole and recover nicely.
