LIDL glider RC conversion - TWIN TURBO LIDL - Build Video

This is a LIDL chuck glider conversion into a twin motor RC plane. I call it the "TWIN TURBO LIDL". The time lapse build video will show you the complete build of a 7,99 EUR kids toy into a fast and highly maneuverable RC plane. With the video and my information below (parts list, plan, STL files) you can also build your own one. Basic plane: LIDL Playtive Glider (2021 version)
Motor: 2x Graupner Ultra 2806 2300kv brushless motor (2206 stator)
Prop: 2x HQ 3-blade 5x4,3 or 2x T-Motor T 5146 Clear Red
Battery: SLS Quantum 1800mAh 3S 30C/60C
ESC: 2x Graupner Brushless Control + T 18 XT-60
Receiver: Graupner GR-12 HoTT, 6 channel
Servos: 3x Emax ES08D II

Carbon fiber tube 5 x 4mm
Carbon fiber rod 1 x 3mm
Piano wire 1,0mm for control rods
BBQ Skewer (bamboo)
Y-Cable XT-60 (homemade)
Servo extension 300mm
Clear packing tape: tesapack Packband "Crystal Clear"
Beech rod diameter 5mm for canopy locking
Plywood 1.5mm for canopy locking
PU glue
Screws for attaching motors: M3x4mm
Stickers: d-c-fix vinyl silver (mat) and white (mat)
Painters tape (for making the markings): tesa Perfect
Painters tape blue (hot glue doesn't stick to it and doesn't melt it): tesa Malerband für Lacke

Note: If you don't have a 3D printer you can easily make these parts from plywood and balsa wood

Nice build. I flew in the 80’s. Built about 10 or so. Technology wasn’t as light and evolved as it is now. Keep on with the good stuff!

That's probably one of the nicest LIDL conversions I've seen, very clean. I like the 2 motor approach. I'm starting my own and will use many of your techniques, and 2 motors. I am building it much lighter, trying to keep it under 400g. I recommend cutting the packing tape off the ESCs to help with cooling. Looking forward to a flight video!

Sehr sauber gebaut. Bei mir muss immer alles schön sauber und perfekt werden :) Ich denke besser kann man es nicht umsetzen. Danke für das Video.
