A Tribute to Lazar Djukic

We at Talking Elite Fitness are absolutely devastated by the death of Lazar Djukic. We have been extremely fortunate to have the privilege to cover his career and spend time with him at competitions around the world. He was an incredible human being who left a lasting impression on everyone he met. Our hearts, thoughts and prayers go out to his family and loved ones.

He was awesome! He was so excited when Luka made it back with him. In my mind that spoke volumes about him. It's so tragic. He seemed like an amazing man.

All day since watching this mornings stream I’ve been overcome with waves of grief for the people who knew Lazar and his family and what agony they must be feeling. I didn’t know him but just seeing this it makes you feel like you did. The loss of his life is so unfair. I’m so sorry to his family

It’s wild that he used to be a lifeguard. And the profession he used to be is the one that let him down the most.

I don't understand how the lifeguards didn't see him on time and act promptly, they were so close to him. How this thing happened???? Big loss, Big athlete, Big heart. Serbia was proud to have such a champion as you were. Condolence to the family 😢

Thanks for doing this guys. This is what we need right now. The Tyr interviews are gutting, so is Brian's last interview with him. He was alive and so hopeful only a short time ago.
