You can lower your max wheel spin so no more fast tire in bonks, motor cfg, rpm. 14000erpm is about 30mph. Adjust it, then look under app ui to see how fast the tire spins. Just be careful because if you hit that speed you will nosedive.

Nico would be my vote for the trip down to test the Floatwheel Adv Pro because he's a Pro level rider as well as a VESC expert.

I really loved this video, and how it shows off some of the performance gains using VESC and also 84v.

I've been waiting to see the latest VESC tune doing a few things that I saw Jeff do: Riding down multiple stairs, climbing steep grass berms, and just the overall beating from impacts of those hits and drops and not causing any board hardware failures or firmware glitchiness. Time to finish soldering my VESC power and motor connectors and get my VESC running after watching this!

Brilliant idea! Bring in some VESC experts to give a true relative comparison of XR 84v hypercore VESC to FloatWheel 84v CanonCore VESC.
There's only one issue with that currently.
It took some tuning starting from Hypercore settings to get the similar designed Superflux performing at its best. The CanonCore motor is quite a different design with quite different field dynamics. Considering that, the CanonCore is performing well on Hypercore settings, potentially it has a lot more to give when the optimal tune is found.
So it's quite conceivable in another few months the CanonCore FloatWheel well be unbeatable in every regard.

I feel like my vesc tried as hard as it can to keep me up in nosedives, dips, and everything else. The gt/xr just gives up

I'm really interested in building one of these eventually. I'm a big guy, ~300lbs, so i would need torque more than anything, but also size. Larger size would allow for more battery to help offset the added power needed for my size. Not interested in tricks though, just cruising. This looks like an amazing way to go.
