I’d like to see the Roxon Flex have a dedicated 1/4” bit driver and 4 long tools. I saw someone else comment about a 1/4” socket driver, which would be slimmer than a bit driver. I wouldn’t mind this since socket to bit adapters are a standard, readily available item.

Going for the roxon flex. I was indecisive with the Goat MT previously (due to the tool locking mechanism) and now i have no regret not investing in one, specially, after seeing watching you have to fiddle around with the tools to deploy one of them. Furthermore, the fact that you have to modify the plier head to improve the cutting capability of the cutter is just a bad. Even after that, u still have a harder time to cut the coat hanger than the one on the flex. For me, when u have to modify, then its already a waste of money. The Goat tool is not cheap if adding the extra scales and some other tools and imagine have to tell another buddy that "oh, it could not cut coat hanger and have to physically modify the plier head to make it works".

Thank you so much for this! This clearly shows Roxon has the lead. Also thank your son for his contribution! He broke the scissors and that's still an important data point! I think GOAT needs to go back to the lab and make some improvements because they aren't it right now.

Waiting to hear what you have to say about the two.
It looks very normal to me. I think it probably functions the same/as good as any decent multitool does. I do like the lever thing that raises the tools but I can “one hand operate” all 4, not 2, long outside tools. I think I’ll stick with the goat. The goat is fully customizable inside AND outside. They encourage modding and have the best warranty offered from anyone.
I do have some attitude thing that wants to go against the big names. 🤷‍♂️🙂
I’ll always support the little guy. Michael O’Donnell seems like a regular guy that wanted a fully customizable multitool so he created the goat and made it available to the world. It is what ALOT of people have been wanting. He is the first to do it and I think the Goat Tool needs more recognition, appreciation and support. I want goat tool to keep surviving and improving.

Well that’s my BraveHeart goat tool speech.
Hvac, I hope you point out some of these things.
Either way I’ll still be a loyal viewer and liker.

GIVE ME GOAT TOOL OR GIVE ME DEATH!!!😆😆

P.S. it’s late and I’ve drank some beers. Hopefully I’ll wake up for your vid and say more stuff. 😁

can you switch the smaller tools around, as in put the small goat tools on the flex and vice versa?

Mr. Kincaid, do you think Roxon will offer all the implements with the multitool or as a separate purchase? I like the fact of two larger implements on the outside, like the GOAT. I rearranged my GOAT tool set like night. I put the stock clip point blade in front of the bit driver and the craft blade to the back on the opposite side. On the other handle I put the saw in front of the smaller implements and put the scissors and O- ring to the side of the frame. It took a little time, but it was an enjoyable process, painless. If you don't have patience and like a little tinkering the ROXON is probably the way to go. I'm with Mr. Fett. The GOAT needs more exposure, videos and appreciation. It's a good design and the execution on the first iteration is fairly well done, in my opinion. Mr. Tim Leatherman had no "cake walk" when trying to market the PST. I have much respect for that man! Mr. O'Donnell has a good product too but has the same "uphill" battle.

Back again with my multitool/tech company analogies:

Leatherman and Victorinox: Expensive but quality, slow to change, or adapt to criticism, warranties out the wazoo and a few proprietary elements - Apple.

Roxon: User-friendly without skimping on features or elements of personalisation, adapts with the times and innovates in interesting ways - Windows.

GOAT: Potentially anything and everything at your fingertips if you have the experience, wherewithal, and skill to delve into the depths of DIY, but still reasonably intuitive to a beginner, if a bit finicky - Some flavour of Linux.

Wonder if Roxon will go full swisstool and have 2 types of Flex, one slighter but sleek and one chunky but fits more in (ala Spirit and MX)?

I do think a 2 long tool system makes sense for a modular multitool as you can pick the loadout for the application. But i think it should also be a lighter thinner tool if possible. I personally feel like 8 oz is too heavy for a 2 long tool tool

👍🏼good vid Hvac.
Thanks. I have been wanting to see both tools together. I guess it’s mostly the look of the roxon doesn’t appeal to me. I like my 4 main long tools and my goat is pretty smooth one hand operational. But I have used it a lot. I cut nails just to show off. :)
I think roxon cutters are proprietary. Goats are not.
Thanks for mentioning me again buddy. Much appreciated!
Goat and Hvac! 🙂👍🏼

The roxonn scissor blade is facing out when it closes. That should be the end of the conversation.

In my mind If I am buying roxon its for the 4" fram scissors and modular blade... everything after that is gravy....I really like the GOAT tool and plan to get one plus the ROXON S8O2. Goat for the belt Roxon for the work bag

The GOAT has been perpetually underwhelming since before its release. It's like laymen and business people heard what people wanted and had good intentions. But, engineers were absentee in the process. My Arc is imperfect and prohibitively expensive. I'm curious to see what's next from Leatherman. The flex has potential, but it'll likely take three years before they get to that sweet spot. I predict that the GOAT will fizzle.

Goat all day. Black and bronze looks so much better

The thing is…. if you’re spending more than $100 on a multitool, you shouldn’t have to do any work on it.

Nice video but I don't like either of them. Cool concepts for something that stays in the drawer and you bring the Leatherman or Gerber with you. The reviews on the goat page weren't to nice, and wow they are ugly. Also I like the ability to use bits In my multi tools

Seems like roxon copied the goats system. Roxon has the manufacturer experience, and goat the innovation.
