Hockey Fan Yelling at TV Mistaken for Domestic Issue

A Florida couple called 911 after hearing their upstairs neighbor yelling “Shoot! Shoot!” But when police arrived, the neighbor turned out to be a passionate fan watching the Stanley Cup finals. Devon Garnett got pretty excited cheering on his beloved Tampa Bay Lightning team. “I yelled out, really loud, ‘Shoot! Shoot!’” he told Inside Edition. When the neighbors realized it was all a big mistake, they sent over a 12-pack of beer, along with a note. #InsideEdition

I was a DV victim for many years. Unfortunately, I lived in a part of town where no one called the cops. One time we were in a nice neighborhood and someone called the cops after my ex tried to run my daughter and I over with a car. I was told by the police officer, that gave my daughter and I a ride home, that it was a homeless man who reported the DV . I am grateful for that man. Fast forward 16 years, I have an amazing daughter, peace, and no longer with my abuser. My career revolves around helping victims. Don't stay quiet. Deep down victims want help. It's so much more than just leaving. I love that this brought a positive outcome.

I love that the neighbors sent a 6 pack of beer for the mistake, that's actually cool. Most people I'd imagine wouldn't do anything
