I wish I can reset the game along with my memory to re live the experience again.

I've never played Skyrim.
This video/music helped me through my graduation test six years ago.
Now it helps me with work.

I have to say, it's even better with the ambient sounds.

It's been so many years since I really played the game but I will never stop coming back for a listen! Who else is here in 2024?

Skyrim has the greatest ambient music ever created.

I listen to this to get away from the real world and escape to the world of my fantasy. I wish I could wander the forests, mountains, and plains of Skyrim in real life, hearing the birds chirp, feeling the gentle drizzle on my face, and searching for adventure.

Commenting every 2 years until I die. This is a warm blanket for my weary heart.

I would like to congratulate anyone who's listened to this entire song without sleeping or without playing Skyrim.

Left everything a couple years ago to start a new life. Always wanted to visit the Rocky Mountains. I lived alone in a small house in the mountains. No internet or TV. Just books and an fm radio.

Well I was up at around 3am one night, couldn’t sleep. Felt lonely. Something urged me to go for a walk. It was a quiet May morn, so I walked down to the field.

What I saw was akin to some movie, some fantasy. The moonlight shined over the towering snow capped mountains, the wheatgrass gently swaying in the night breeze. I looked up and the entire sky was lit green with the Aurora Borealis and the white speckles of a billion stars.

Not a soul for miles. No street lights, no cars, no people.

In that moment I don’t think I’ve ever experienced more peace and awe in my entire life. I just sat there for hours, and although lonesome, for that whisper of time, it felt like what life should be.

It felt perfect.

Skyrim is a game that has impacted me more than any game ever has. It doesn't need a gripping storyline, or really, one at all. No, it isn't the politics of the game, or even the dragons. No, it's knowing I can do whatever I want and go wherever I want, and traverse the wilderness of Skyrim for hours and never tire of it. The killing, the battles, the dragon fights with epic music, that's only the cherry on top. I feel a sense of belonging as I listen to this...wishing there was such a world as Skyrim.
This strips me to my essence. Nothing describes my longing to live out with nature in a world of beauty such as this....maybe without killing various beasts, but that only adds that fantasy element, when we all wish we were powerful and can do anything. The music touches something in my heart, the subtleties of this game have affected me so emotionally. I think I'm the only one who has killed a frost dragon, while battling an ice troll and a pack of wolves while crying my eyes out at the beauty of this game.

I play this while falling asleep. It does wonders.

My father died in 2015, and this track basically played on a permanent loop in my headphones for many months afterwards. It's still the track I go to when everything in my life feels a little too overwhelming.

If they don't have Jeremy Soule return to compose the next TES soundtrack, they will be making a grave mistake.
