Drainage, Basement Waterproofing, Foundation Crack Repair French Drain & Downspout Piping Project in St. Louis, MO - Client Testimonial Video
LOCATION: Manchester, MO 63021

SCOPE: Client called us to resolve an exterior drainage issue at their home in Kirkwood Missouri in 2008 due to water pouring through the basement window wells which they needed resolved before finishing the basement. In 2016 they purchased a home in Manchester Missouri and immediately noticed signs of water issues at this new property as well. In both situations, we assessed the situation and came up with a solution for all of the stormwater issues they were experiencing.
In Kirkwood, back in 2009, our proposed and installed solution consisted of re-piping all of the homes downspouts in PVC, installing an exposed French Drain along the left side of the home where the window wells were located, into an 8” mainline PVC pipe that would discharge in the front of the home, close to the street. The top of the French Drain was covered with decorative rock to totally disguise the French Drain so it blends into the landscaping and looks like a planned landscape feature along the side of the home. We also performed some regrading in the rear of the home to help direct the flow of water away from the back of the home as well.
In Manchester MO, in 2016, our proposed and installed solution consisted of re-piping all of the homes downspouts in PVC to the rear of the home. We also installed an exposed French Drain at the front left of the home. The top of the French Drain was covered with decorative rock so it blends into the front landscaping bed. In the front lawn area, we did some grading to create a moderate swale along with a series of high flow drain grates. All of these drainage components connected into (2) 6” PVC pipes that were installed underground to the rear of the property, one of the right side and one on the left side.
Lastly, on the exterior we piped the sump pump out in PVC, underground and installed a Freeze Stop on it to prevent winter freezing of the discharge line which ultimately causes pump burnout and potential flooding of the basement.
In the interior of the home, we installed a full perimeter basement waterproofing system, along with repairing several cracks in the foundation walls. The basement waterproofing project started by securing and protecting the home and the belongings. Next, we jackhammered along the entire foundation wall to make way for our Patented Water Trek Aqua Route system to waterproof the area. At the same time, one of our certified team members installed the Water Grabber® liner, Powerhouse Turbo™ 1/2HP sump pump and a Dual Float Controller w/Notification Alarm. Next, we prepared the foundation cracks for our exclusive crack repair system. Once prepped, we sealed the cracks with our special concrete sealant to stop water leaks. We then installed our Techni-Crack hydrophobic membrane with hydrophobic gel and concrete sealant on all of the cracks. The Techni-Crack membrane was then connected directly into the Water Trek Aqua Route system below the concrete floor. Lastly, on the interior of the home we installed our patented Humid-Evac® system which removes humidity from the basement floor and behind the basement wall studs 24/7 when the system is turned on.
Once the stormwater construction project was completed, we cleaned the work areas (inside the home and outside the home), and lastly we installed high quality grass seed on all areas disturbed.
