I was playing Halo Reach with 2 of my friends as this was happening. Idk why, but just before it shut down, I actually felt like crying... One friend understood my pain too, while the other said it would be ok. In the final moments, we played lone wolf together and went for as long as we could. Even watching the cutscenes, not skipping a single beat. We lasted almost an 1 hour on Legendary difficulty.

did anyone else have a massive flash back to the good ole days. i ditched school once or twice for halo 2 and halo 3. had my buddies come over for big halo 2 lan sessions and i capped it off with a solid few years of halo 3. this made me cry a little. this goes deeper than just some servers being shut down. this is people's childhood.

RIP Halo 3. An amazing game that was the reason why I started playing games again. Used to play Halo 2 and was there to witness its final days as well. May it be remembered as the best Halo game ever. 😢
