In Samos island here in Greece there s a cave in which you go inside after decending a small road for about 30 sec. This cave is not tha deep and access is easy. Whats scary though is that once you got in you can see around many holes... some are close to the ceiling of the cave while one big hole is right on your left on ground level... in this particular hole they have close it with barricades cause it is said that in 70's a small kid was lost inside the hole after sliping cause the surface of the cave due to humidity is slipery... Then his father and his mother run to his rescue and the slip also inside the hole... This was a family from Germany went there for vacation... After there were some rescuers went there to help them... despite using all equipmnet ropes etc...some also slip inside the hole and also got lost...From then on nobody ever listen to anyone of them while still nobody knows which way this hole develops itself more than a few metres... They decide that it is too dangerous to proceed to any kind of investigation and they sealed it... Straight ahead inside the cave as you enter they have put an icon of Jesus Mother and a small candle... so the name of the cave is Panagia Spiliani in Greek... I was there when i was a kid with my school... and i said why you brought us here?? It was all a religion issue of course to make us visit the place as always... with which i personally disagree... Who cares anyway... I wouldnt go there again...thats the point.
