These hair pieces are made for people who want medium to longer hair styles. After you have cut the shape of the hairpiece, I would pin it to the doll’s head and try cutting the hair with scissors to the 3” length at the front fringe area and slowly reduce the length to no less than 2” at the base of the hair piece. Do this while the hair piece is pinned to the doll’s head. Take small sections and take your time. You will have more control and will cut more evenly. When you apply the piece to your scalp, you will only need to blend in the connection between your own hair and that of the piece. Again take your time and cut gently with your clippers.

Your hair journey to this point has made interesting viewing, however, certain facts have to be accepted. It's your obsessional determination and intellect which has driven you on, but in this case these qualities have IMHO proved counterproductive. You have undoubtedly already spent more money than it would have cost to get one system done professionally- on both hair pieces and camera materials etc. Had you done so, then you would have had the template, and your questions answered- and the doll's head would obviate the need for camera equipment altogether. You would then have the freedom and the time to buy hairpieces yourself, to substantially reduce costs in the future. If I were to purchase a hair system, then I would want as close to perfection as possible- nothing else would do. No criticism on you however. You have kept us entertained and for this we thank you. Your videos I think though have deterred would be DIY enthusiasts, and steered them in the direction of the salons!

I've never seen something like that on a hair system. I'm sure is a bad batch, send them back and let them replace them with a better one

Wow man. I'm so sorry. If you hate the crown so much. I think you should save the rest of your money and use the other hair systems and go back to front partials. You probably never be happy with stock hair systems and might need a custom hair system so that the crown will be in the place that you want it and you can have them not make it as bulky as the sock units.. also you could use all that money and buy you better quality hair system from a better quality factory. Maybe you can take your next system, attach it and go to a professional hair dresser to cut it. Another thing, huge thing, it takes awhile for the crown to relax and for the hairs to lay the way you want them. It's going to be balky and bunch for awhile. It take a couple weeks for it to tame. All your hair needs time to relax and lay the way that you want it. Good luck man. I just hate seeing you throw your money away and getting more and more frustrated and discouraged.

Mate Sorry for my english, I m italian, I've been following you for some time, your biggest problem is that you don't have manual skills. You are appreciated because you put so much effort into what you do, but you are truly denied. why do you insist on cutting your hair system yourself? install it and go to a barber like everyone else and you'll be fine for two months. install everything with Ghostbond and first pass two layers of max hold sport on the scalp and for at least 5.6 days you can rest assured, do a touch-up on the front and it will last another 6 days.

What are you doing with these hair systems, you are making such a simple task as putting on a system unnecessarily difficult, let alone cutting it, just go to a hairdresser and he will do it for you beautifully

Why the hell would you shave the hairpiece crown down so short. You even go against your own advice. You have been saying for years that you cannot cut a hairpiece any shorter than a certain length lol It might have looked/felt bad to begin with, but you definitely sabotaged yourself this time.

I admire your tenacity and determination but you’re not helping yourself. I’ve been wearing hair for 25 years and my advice for you would be: 1) ditch the exposed hairline because you’ll never be happy with it. 2) cut it while on the manikin to around 3.5” before install and then get a professional to blend it into your hair (you’ve got great bio hair around the back and sides). 3) don’t be so aggressive with it and stop putting clay in it. Just use a leave in conditioner, you can get some that have some hold.
