I was also looking at some Sola lights but since I'm only in the market for 1 light I was concerned about the more narrow beam angles on most of them vs the backscatter beam

Tip: Don’t use your primary phone in a housing. Repurpose your old phone.
I use a proshot case, rated for 15 meters (50ft). My obsolete iPhone 7 takes a average photo but does the trick. If water leaks in it really doesn’t matter because it basically worthless anyway.

I am so happy that you have teamed up. Your Christmas video is brilliant as always.
I am in the process of planning my diving trip to Egypt in January. As my Nikon Coolpix W300 has flooded and needs to be replaced I'm trying to decide between your two recommendations: Sealife Smart Phone Housing for my old Huawei P30pro or GoPro Hero10.
What are your thoughts on the difference between filming underwater with a smart phone and an action camera? Have you done any content on this that you can point me to?
