Be careful when claiming government benefits using a VPN. I immediately lost my NY unemployment benefits because I used a VPN with public wifi to claim weekly benefits not knowing it routed through a foreign server. I also learned they observe your previous and post web search activities when you log on to their site and a VPN prevented them from doing so.

This video is ultimately hilarious. Comparing a VPN to a proxy service. A VPN service still has a huge hole of error which is the ISP can still see all of this traffic to route and have the keys for decryption making your ISP a lovely miscreant. Do you trust Nord enough alongside your ISP? Proxy service usually apply the concept of layered encryption so that no one node knows more than is required to decrypt it's layer of the packet. The truth is neither is more secure than the other it simply depends on the use case.
