Senator John Cornyn was first elected to the U.S. Senate in 2002, and is currently serving his fourth term after being reelected in 2008, 2014, and 2020.

He sits on the Senate Finance, Intelligence, and Judiciary Committees, where he helps craft legislation on behalf of 29 million Texans. [The age to be drafted used to be 21.  They lowered the age to take your son's and put them in the military to 18.  In 1973, they lowered the age to drink and the age to vote to 18.  Their reasoning was, if you can go to war you should be able to drink.    It was a disaster. After many deaths they ordered a study be done.  The study determined that 18-20+ year old's brains had not fully developed enough to handle their choice to drink and drive so they raised the age to drink back up to 21, but they conveniently left the age to vote at 18.  In the past year, Congress has been pushing to add Females equally in the formerly male only draft or conscription.  These same politicians have been pushing to get the age to vote lowered to 16.)
