I grew up around my granny from the back hills and hollers of Kentucky, USA. Nothing went to waste! And we patched and mended our clothing until we couldn't anymore. Then pieces of those clothes were still useful as quilt scraps or rags. And all the women wore aprons back then. (I'm almost 65 yrs. young)
Thank you for reminding folks that we can all make a difference.... 🤗❤

That's so true. Every small step adds up.

I have wanted to switch to natural fibers as much as possible. AND, I made an apron from a used sheet. One step at a time.

Yes! Policy also matters though. Holding companies to account for the full lifecycle impacts of their products means more clothes that hold up when repaired

Learning how to wash my cloths properly did wonders for their life!

These small things don't sell expensive products, but they do make a difference and are self affirming.

Absolutely! I wash and re-use my ziptop bags. Those things are dang useful, but also so wasteful if you use them once. I also use towels instead of paper towels, bar soap instead of plastic-pump soap, etc, etc. I like to think it adds up, and it certainly saves me money.

But, as noted, we still gotta hold the industries accountable.

For the individual it is the small habits, for the mass corporation it is the application of large scale policies that don't do harm to our only home
