Random tip; when I needed to remember this equation, I thought of the mnemonic Adults Can Lie. Can is a positive word rather than can't, so it's indication that there's an addition sign. Therefore Assets = Capital + Liabilities. A little backstory to help remember: Sometimes kids are told adults are always right, making it seem like they can tell no lies. So this made this contradictory statement easy to remember. 😂😂
