One minor correction: When you successfully proc Tengentsu, the 10% damage reduction lasts for the full 9 seconds that the heal lasts.

Samurai has quickly become one of my favorite melee dps to play. It's doing really well in Dawntrail imo even if I only just picked it up during Endwalker.

Been enjoying samurai a lot lately. Been a Sage main for a while but it’s nice to not have to worry about healing and just do damage and look cool doing it

The DT changes to SAM have definitely made it feel better to play, at least for me.

I setup 3 bars for combos. 1 traditional where I hard cast to get the three symbols, a second for the Meikyo into the 3 symbol makers and 1 for the the two for AOE and the spender button next to it so I don’t have to look for it. The one where I hard cast I set it up to match the pyramid so I know which one I’m missing.

Thanks for this. Only have 136 hours on FFXIV and wanting to get back into it and finish Stormblood onwards to Dawntrail. Do you have any advice on hotbars for the SAM class? I'm new to MMO's and lost my old hotbars and really struggling to get back into the game without a good hotbar. Any help or a video about hotbar setups for SAM would be greatly appreciated.
