WM4000 Industrial Wood-Mizer Sawmill

Put the WM4000 to work in your business as a stand-alone sawmill or integrate it into a large operation to process oversize logs. Low ownership and maintenance costs and higher productivity with more log yield creates a formula for your success.
One operator is needed to manage log handling, sawing, and timber removal to further processing. Only one operator is needed to load, turn, clamp logs, cut them into timber and remove finished boards for further processing. Two bi-directional chain turners, as well as three vertical side supports and taper rollers come standard for log handling.

SIZE OF LOGS

The advanced PLC setworks are displayed on a 19cm HMI touch-screen which presents board and cant sizes along with current head height, feed position, and blade power. Among other new productivity-enhancing features, the sawyer's favourite has been the Auto-Cut feature, which remembers the location of the start and end of the log.

The deluxe joysticks provide the operator with precise control of all sawing and log handling functions, and feature proportional hydraulic speed control. They can be configured to save two different sawyers' personal joystick preferences. Hydraulic speed is adjusted proportionally to the operator's pressure applied to the joysticks during use.

The log bed heavily constructed, reinforced with 50% more steel than the WM3500. A built-in powered board conveyor automatically turns itself off after moving a board or cant from the sawmill. A servo motor controls the vertical head height quickly and precisely. Larger blade guide rollers provide the blade more support in the cut.
