Using RTI Effectively - Shailesh Gandhi

Moneylife Foundation completes 150 events with a workshop on RTI for advanced users conducted by former central information commissioner, Shailesh Gandhi. Mr Gandhi discussed various case studies during the session which also includes taking appeals all the way to the Chief Information Commission.

Shailesh Gandhi is a graduate in Civil Engineering from IIT Bombay. He was a first generation entrepreneur in plastic packaging and was CMD of Clear Plastics Ltd. At the end of the 90s, Mr Gandhi began to devote a considerable amount of time to civil society issues. He evangalised the use of RTI and tirelessly conducted RTI workshops. He was conferred the Nani Palkhivala Memorial Award for civil liberties in 2008. In the same year, he became the Central Information Commissioner for Right to Information.

After how many days of submitting complaint with police deptt, , we as septuagenerian( ctzns-) applicant can file RTI with PIO DELHI POLICE to seek movement of complaint, if at all taken up for investigations. ?

Mr. Sailesh Gandhi jee' In 2008 RTI case You gave desison for coy of questions booklet ' omr sheet copy and answer key in year 2010 . After manually evolution of my OMR sheet related to group D recruitment under NWR Jaipur I calculated my marks above 140 out of 150 marks. But general cut off was 129 marks.But NWR told me in a RTI case that I fogot to make a bubble black of the question booklet serial number at time filling on OMR sheet.Hence I got only 3.33 Marks due to negative marking.But court rejected the case due to time delay. Sir' What can do now ?
