Never thought deeply about how ethnic representation in children's books was important to children growing up in countries where they are a minority. Thanks for the enlightenment!

I also know that Jill Starishevsky has a book out featuring a black protagonist, that you might be interested in? It's called "My Body Belongs To Me" and teaches, in a child friendly manner, that an individual is in charge of their own body and that they have the right to have their boundaries respected. Super important imo!
