It took me a few watches to fully comprehend all of the symbolism in this video and everything that you did. Merging him mourning his old friends, meeting Chee, then mourning Chee when she drifted from him, too, was pure genius. And the colours perfectly representing everything! I love this!

I love how in the right side of the screen Chee gets more detailed as Chikn sees her as a friend who hasn't left him, but then on the left Chee fades back to a silhouette because, like Chikn's other friends, Chee has forgotten about him.

Ngl…as silly and lighthearted as Chicken Nugget is. This new arc is a pretty good representation of RSD, or Rejection Sensitive Dysphoria. Essentially, someone who has been rejected many times in the past develops trauma.
And now, in the present, they have a lot of trouble making new friends out of fear they’ll just be rejected again, as well as having trouble truly believing that any friends they DO have actually love them and won’t reject/abandon them in the future. Just a small shift in tone or behavior can cause them to feel extremely anxious or hurt, convincing themself their friends secretly hate them and find them annoying and it’s only going to be a short time before they end up alone again. People with RSD may isolate themselves and/or be overly apologetic. They might seem very sensitive, and overthink the things you say to them. Which ironically (and very sadly) …can end up causing conflict between friends. It sucks. And as someone with autism/ADHD who had trouble fitting in as a kid, it’s something I experienced a lot myself, especially when I was a teenager. But luckily now I’m older now and I’m learning to heal from it. I hope Chicken can do the same.
