Situated near the village of Trawsfynydd in Gwynedd, North Wales is Llyn Trawsfynydd. A large man-made reservoir with a total surface area of 4.8 km² (1,180 acres).

A well-located walking and cycling base close to mountains and the trails in the Coed y Brenin Forest Park. Llyn Trawsfynydd is a popular activity and adventure spot with excellent fishing for trout and game species, walking, birdwatching, canoeing, kayaking, and a new cycle loop, boat jetty and visitor centre with café.
