Filmconvert Lumetri Rec709 side by side comparison

Side by side example shots of the Sony rec709 LUT, Lumetri film preset, and Filmconvert with various film stocks. I have only done very basic exposure, saturation and contrast adjustments to each example to make them look somewhat ok. I have spent less than 5minutes adjusting each one. Filmconvert was applied with 30% grain in all examples and I have intentionally varied the filmstock so there is more variety on display.

Disclaimer : Take this comparison with a major grain of salt as it is not really comparing final results of the best grade possible with each method. It is more like comparing a starting point of a grade. Grading never really ends with slapping a LUT or plugin on. It is merely a starting point.
