THE ROSEATE, NEW DELHI, INDIA
“shadow is herenow”
shadow has no yesterday, no tomorrow - only herenow
shadow has no past, no future - only present
it is a wonder of the cosmic phenomenal
it is an unpredictable mysteries of the existence - that remains unknown and unknowable
shadow has never repeated herself
shadow has never happened the same - twice
shadow has never rehearsed
shadow is like a rainbow
that is why it is beautiful
if shadow - “known”
if shadow - “calculable”
then shadow has no beauty - no delight, no joy
i would like to invite her to express her graceful movement
i would like to see her dancing in my Architecture
The Architecture of The Roseate is to create, as precise as possible, a form and space that aim to invite shadow to express herself.
Sunlight,
A continuous, non stop moving - like a handmade watch.
An 8 meter diameters - woven steel disk - rotating slowly and gently at 7 rounds per minute - receiving and allowing intensely powerful Delhi sunlight.
Creating a moving - ever changing shadow patterns on curved surface of the wall.
Gently orienting and inviting our guest to enjoy experiencing her living beauty when moving up and down the stair.
What’s matter,
is not how expensive materials being used, but an unknown and mysteries experience
between Cosmic Phenomenal and Architecture that creating a delightful visual memory in us.
Moonlight - equally or more,
Her softness, cool, shimmering light and shadow in darkness can
surprise us with an unexpected sense of wonder
delightful visual memory - another beauty for us to enjoy.
Serenade by Pachelbel (Michael Maxwell)
Moonlight Sonata by Beethoven (Jenő Jandó)
Return to Jogja, Searching and Yearning by Shaában Yahya
Hope their beauty help enhance the Architecture of The Roseate.
