I can really tell this man values people's time along with his own. I'm so annoyed I didn't come across this channel sooner. Great content

the pros always intimidate us by saying that we need crazy expensive studio gears and blah blah blah .
you nailed it dude, and thanks for your time to make such a great video.

This is a great tutorial! I always feel that Drake sounds over-compressed, it takes the slight air out the vocal which makes it feel natural.

So I wanted to point out one quick thing about parallel compression : the same can be achieved by using a stereo compression with a parallel knob and place it at the end of your vocal chain as usual. May I recommend Soft tubes CL1b MkII. Its the blue stereo compressor you see in literally every studio - specifically for rap. And it is amazing ... so is the plug in version.

Absolutely been searching for a quality mixing tutorial and just couldn't seem to find one that fits my needs, but this one really really really really spoke to me. Have not seen a better one yet. Amazing job Devvon!

Try turning off the direct signal in the doubler plug-in so you just get the effect from the doubles (left and right signals). Great vid! Keep up the good work! Also, it sounds like Drake's retune speed is a tab bit faster in comparison to yours.

Dude, I got to say, your vocals came out smoother then Drakes. And the note modifications that you made, you took this song to another level. I've been watching your tutorials for sometime now and you got the stuff man. I wish nothing but the best in your success man. Thank you for sharing these secrets with us all.

Bro im an artist first, but i've been engineering myself the past few years and man is this a cold ass tutorial. You get straight to the point and drop hella knowledge and reasoning for why you do what you do. When you broke down the C76 and why you EQ before compression to not boost the bad stuff... i literally yell "WOO" like you spit the hottest bar haha. But thanks so much man, you're helping alot of careers fr
