Sympathies to the family. Looks like such a solid upright young man. Have appreciation and gratitude to all the UPS drivers I've met.

This should be a wake up call for all delivery companies. A lot of people take for granted how you can just order things online and they come to your door but these drivers go through a lot! RIP young man

The father that raised his son well lost him. So painful to hear him talk. Stay strong, Mr Chavez.

Don’t take heat lightly. I learned this the hard way and luckily I’m still alive.

UPS was just in the news about one of their delivery drivers caught on camera delivering a package to a customer literally about to collapse from heat exhaustion and the company responded, " he's fine." These companies don't care about your well-being, just the money they make from you. This is so disheartening. 😢 🙏

Seeing his father just broke my heart. What a fine young man Chavez was, and that's a great Dad, and Aunt 💙

As a delivery person, this is a stark and dark reminder; heat is no joke and stay hydrated!
Can not imagine what the family is going through, my condolences and prayers 🙏🏼

Blessings to this family. I lost my baby boy when he was 30. Crushing to your entire heart and soul. Those UPS drivers work so hard and it’s a hard job many don’t appreciate. He looks so handsome! I am sure the angels of Heaven are singing for him!

My friend is a UPS driver, he tells me there is no air conditioning in the trucks, when it's 90 degrees outside it is over 110 in the truck. He keeps a thermometer with him to keep track of the temperature and plenty of water to hydrate himself. This is a terrible loss to the family, my condolences to all who were affected by his passing. May he R.I.P.

They mentioned coming back from a shoulder injury. This happens a lot to delivery drivers like UPS, USPS, FEDEX, ETC. I've been a USPS carrier for 24+ years. It's bad enough working in the heat every day, but when you've been out of work for a while because of injury/illness or whatever, you aren't acclimated to the heat so it's even harder on your body when you come back. RIP brother...and everyone else working out in the extreme conditions please stay safe.

As a UPS wife in San Diego, this is one of my worst nightmares. The heat in SoCal is no joke and the back of the trucks have no ventilation. Drivers spend a lot of time in the back of their trucks. RIP Esteban, my heart goes out to your family. Hopefully some changes can be made to prevent this from happening in the future.

I absolutely appreciate all delivery people. USPS, FedEx, UPS . Any driver that stops at my home during the summer receive cold drinks. It’s the least that I can do.
My deepest condolences to this drivers loved ones.

I've been delivering water for Sparkletts Water for 24+ years. Making deliveries in the heat is tough, but it's tougher for those UPS drivers since they have the box trucks and it gets even hotter in those trucks. Whenever I'm on route, I have an ice crest on my passenger sit and I'm always giving water out to the UPS, FedEx, and USPS drivers, and also gardeners. RIP

This heat is a killer. My husband is a locomotive driver ( engineer). He comes home on the brink of collapse everyday because he has no air conditioning in his cab. My condolences to you. I’m so sad such a young boy.
