I have been searching for this video for a while now. I remembered seeing it back in 1989 but was starting to doubt my memories the older I got.

The video quality is bad but I will take it until I find a clearer video.

At the time the interview took place I think Michael Chiklis was finally aware of the controversy surrounding the film and the book. His energy level is so low, I almost feel he did not want to talk at all about the movie.

Even though I respect Michael Chiklis & there were a few scenes I liked in the movie like the scene when Dan Aykroyd & John Belushi made a deal if one of them were to die the other would perform 2000 Pound Bee by the Ventures at the funeral.
Dan Aykroyd did that for John Belushi to keep his promise & Dan also lead the funeral procession on his Harley Davidson motorcycle in March it snowed later that day & Dan was really emotional & cried for the first time since John died because the snow almost looked like cocaine which was one of the 2 drugs that killed him. The other drug was heroine.
Sure John Belushi was at times difficult to get along with especially when he was on drugs which wasn’t his fault because he was an addict & drugs change people’s personality. When John was sober he was this sweet, sensitive, caring man & would do anything to make you feel happy. So I guess you can say there was a dr. Jekyll & Mr. Hyde in John Belushi.
Another thing I liked about the movie was the Blues Brothers pinball machine.

i cant seem to find the video of john and dan akroyd on the today show. it was on youtube a year or two ago. john looked fidgety and subdued. but i think towards the end he managed to snort some coke off his nails. i wanna see it again lol
