Kson angrily approaching her position.

Honestly this totally explains why a lot of Japanese really struggle with English. Look at Henya. She’s been at it forever and even has a circle of English-speaking friends, which should give her a leg up. But she still drops some classic Engrish here and there. If someone with all those advantages struggles, imagine the difficulty for those without them.

Glad that note didnt say anything about a bat backpack, Henya would have had a meltdown

A lot of English words are like Japanese kanji; there are no rules, you just have to REMEMBER how it sounds.

*"You're doing good sweetie"* Poor Henya lol
At least it's not the real Japanglish, otherwise it'll summon Kson xD

And then they became clueless when they uncovered the drone and didn't notice the note already hinted that one of the Frog Idol was inside it lol

I went to school with a Korean guy who basically had no accent at all but suddenly when he started reading English aloud he'd end up with a Korean accent. It was kind of bizarre.

To be fair, "algae" is one of words that is pronounced differently than it is spelled.

TBH I know kids on the verge of moving up to secondary school that would have stumbled over some of that, so for casual grade ESOL she's doing pretty good. Even flipped into a somewhat convincing accent in the parts where she was more fluent.

And like 6000% better than me attempting the same thing but reversed.

It's amazing how she speaks English fluently, but frequently falls back to thinking in confused Japanese phonetics while reading English. Not surprizing, seeing how she speaks English way WAY more than she reads it, but still interesting.
