I learned this song totally drunk at one our football games against some school from Pennsylvania. Never expected our once major academic university to morph into a basketball school. Kids go there today because they saw the Huskie team on tv. We owe it all to Jim Calhoun who turned an unheard-of minor program into one of the best there is. After some really down seasons the team is back to a high level. Most of us would have been satisfied with just one championship. We weren't Duke.

I went to UConn and of course love the fight song, although the full lyrics are a little cringey if I’m honest. The horns at the end are my favorite part, it’s like the instruments are singing out “U-Conn Hus-ky”!
