The Shadows of Change DLC Price Controversy in a Nutshell

So if this is the new price for the DLC moving forward, I ask that CA updates and hotfixes regularly to fix bugs and other issues in the game, not wait 3 months to sell us a $25 DLC and drop a free update with it. 3 months to fix nakai's kroxigor bug is kind of insane, and I don't understand why the devs are not allowed to hotfix something like that when they already know the issue, why do the higher ups delay crucial bug fixes like that for 3 months? That is my main issue after seeing the price increase, and I really hope that SEGA and CA take the feedback of the community and try to do good by us.

I want to say please keep the comment section respectful towards each other, there is no need for the community to be fighting with each other. If someone wants to buy the DLC despite the price increase that is their choice, and that does not warrant name calling or any toxic behavior towards them. We all are all fans of the game and want to see it doing well, so there is absolutely no need to attack each other. And like other content creators have said, you should direct your feedback at SEGA and CA, and do not call out individual team members who work on this game as they are just as passionate about this game as we are, if not more. I understand everyone's problem with the price increase, but please keep all discussions civil and respectful, thank you!

I cancelled my preorder for Pharaoh over this.

I used to love CA, and I still love the Warhammer games; they married my passion for strategy games and fantasy settings perfectly. But more and more, it feels like they put less passion in their work and more profit expectations. Inflation is a real thing, prices are up across the board, but putting out a PR statement that amounts to 'that's the way it is, deal with it' was pouring gasoline on a lit flame.

We deserve so much better than this. Bugs should be patched up in a timely manner regardless of the increasing price for DLC, and from the sound of the reviews and previews of Shadow of Change, it sounds like the DLC adds more bugs than it fixes.

Hyenas is gonna fail. Pharaoh will probably fail. CA abandoned their sole mainline historical title midway through this Warhammer trilogy to appease their new fanbase, but not nearly enough of them are going to buy a massive genre swap from fantasy to history, *especially* when CA treats those who stuck around like this.

I don't know what they're thinking anymore.

It's so weird here in indonesia this dlc cost 240, 000 idr with discount which is only 15$ actual price with no discount is 270, 000 idr which is only 17$.

I have to agree with that one dude even tho a great amount of the player base says their not gonna buy it enough of everyone else will so at best CA is just gonna get a lot of whining and they can accept that as long as it doesn’t hurt their profits but they don’t understand Hyenas WILL NOT SUCCEED and all that money that they thought would help won’t Pharaoh WILL NOT SUCCEED because it’s being made by the same fools that killed Troy which should of been their next greatest historical title but we all saw what happened there so me personally I preordered it because all of this whining about the price won’t change it anytime soon let them fall on their own sword y’all aren’t getting a 50% sale or a 75% sale on this anytime soon lol
