For smaller hits, like door knobs, frosted scotch tape works really well also! If it’s out of focus in the BG you can’t tell!

We used this in the 80's with our tube cameras, lol. Still works.

I've used matte finish Hairspray from the dollar store as well for this. :)

That is so very helpful! Is there anything that does the opposite? Something that helps make a prop shine?

ZEN: Great Dull Tip! I'm really hoping your Dulling Spray comes off easily with soap & water. Otherwise, our Movie Crew (Me, Myself, and I) will face furniture damage Lawsuit right after The Shoot.
