America seems to have totally forgotten about ENERGY CONSERVATION!! Oil is a finite resource- it WILL RUN OUT. I guess ‘we all’ are banking on that being “tomorrow, after I get what I WANT”. Shakin my head… when will we ever learn—It’s WE, not ME.?

Don't rely on countries that are dangerous for their exports!

This is another good reason to go all out for alternative energy

Amazing how this brilliant scientist was replaced by Rick Perry to head a department that Perry wanted to eliminate but couldn't remember the name of

If only we listened to those in the Sixty’s who said to cut our dependence on oil.
Today, we would have a handle on it.

I don't want Russian oil I'll pay 20 bucks a gallon if needed, I want green energy anyway, for kids and grandchildren we've been greedy enough

Gee, maybe this would be a good time to prioritize alternative energy sources.

Let the people who have to have a four wheel drive gas hog to drive to walmart pay the price. We could be driving fuel efficient autos instead of $80, 000 gas hogs to impress their friends.

This is all about our complete departure from using fossil fuels. We do not need to "get more", we need to "get less" and move to a more sustainable, less dependent reality ~ and save the planet and Humanity at the same time.

We have so much oil in reserve that's already been paid for, with taxpayer funded welfare "subsidies." We also have an incredible opportunity to immediately begin funding development & implementation of renewable sources of energy & to begin the transition to seld-reliance on these sustainable sources.
We need to demand an end to subsidizing Big Oil, to subsidizing citizens, instead; help us cover the cost of getting an electric car & recycling our gas cars, help us to convert our homes to solar & wind powered electricity, etc.

How about telling all the "safe haven" countries that Russian Oligarchs are scrambling to park their yachts and other assest, like, perhaps, the Caymans, or, even China, and other places where Russian Oligarchs might think their money is safe; telling those countries Sanctions are being considered against them as collaborators and enablers, but, they can avoid that nonsense if they give up all the Russian Oligarch bank accounts, yachts, properties, etc.

It IS beyond time to build away from oil

And, the U.S. exports more oil than it uses. Think about that.

More citizens should be using public transportation and carpooling.

Why is no one talking about the real cause of inflation/energy prices? The head of the largest oil/shale production company in the U.S. admitted in an interview with Aaron Sorkin on CNBC that producers in the U.S. were intentionally withholding production as retaliation against the Biden Administration for reversing the Trump Order allowing them to explore/drill for new wells on publicly owned land. Our gas prices would drop by over 2/3 and world wide inflation would drop as well if production was brought back online.

The U.S. is the largest oil producer in the world and we have all this production sitting there idle. Production in the U.S. was massively cut during the pandemic and our own production companies are refusing to bring the pre-pandemic production back online unless Biden reverses his order and allows them free access to public lands. What's worse is those American producers are enriching Russia while it's invading Ukraine. Oil and gas is responsible for over 40% of Russia's national income and every penny higher in price provides more money for Russia and OPEC. It's some of the most unpatriotic behavior I've ever seen but somehow everyone seems to be okay with it. No industry should have enough power to hold with world economy hostage for their own political gain.
